Andrew Scott Duncan came up in the music world as a founding member of OK Go. Disillusioned by the glitz and glam of the touring rockband lifestyle he pivoted to becoming a music producer in San Francisco. There he met some filmmakers from ILM who wanted to become directors. Supporting CG artists who were making their own films took him to Los Angeles where he worked on indie films as a sound designer and dialog editor. Interactive sound projects started coming in which brought the chance to work for Disney. And at the same time, broadcast commercial score opportunities started to materialize. Then, in 2016 Andrew got a gig editing podcasts for Salesforce.com. At the time Salesforce was building internal production for all of its film and media endeavors so he built a sound department with partners Ryan Kleeman and JP Dutreil. They provided production audio and post production for countless film and live activation projects. In 2023 Salesforce started to scale back its marketing department and by 2024 support for internal productions had waned. Andrew is now an independent sound worker in San Diego and online.
